Dr. Lawrence is the Principal Investigator at Headlands Scottsdale, where he brings a diverse and comprehensive background in emergency medicine, academic instruction, and clinical research. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Western Michigan University. Since then, he has held various roles, including Community Emergency Physician, Educator (to residents and medical students), and Chief of the Emergency Department within Indian Health Services.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lawrence has demonstrated a commitment to underserved populations, working in rural settings on Native American reservations, where he gained invaluable experience in resource-limited environments and developed a deep respect for cultures different from his own. His leadership also extended to the role of remote Medical Director for a men’s health clinic specializing in men's sexual health and endocrinology.

Dr. Lawrence has been actively involved in clinical research for over two years, focusing on Metabolic and Endocrine, Behavioral Health, and Vaccine studies. As Principal Investigator, he is passionate about advancing medical science and improving patient care through well-designed clinical trials while taking the time to get to know his patients personally. He brings a meticulous, patient-centered approach to the research process, ensuring that studies are conducted with the highest standards of ethical and scientific integrity.
